International survey on the sustainability of heritage institutions

This survey is part of the studies on memory preservation in the very long-term carried out by the French Agency for Radioactive Waste Management (ANDRA). This research program aims to develop a strategy for very long-term upholding of the knowledge related to radioactive waste management activities. Several studies are in this framework being conducted in specific fields like landscape archeology, linguistics, material aging and archival science as well as more widely in social sciences.

The purpose of this survey developed by the Limonade & Co agency is to get a better knowledge of the apparatus put in place by heritage preservation institutions to pass on a collective memory in the long to very long-term. These institutions often have a rich history. We wish to conduct this survey internationally to examine permanence, and especially resiliency, of these heritage institutions. Whatever is your sector - archives, libraries, museums, monuments and sites, intangible and audiovisual heritage - we thank you in advance for your contribution to this survey and will make sure to keep you informed of its results.

Survey response time is estimated to 30 to 45 minutes. It is anonymous unless you decide to leave your contact details at its end. You will be able to print an overview of your answers to keep track. Last, you can halt and resume the survey without having to re-enter your responses.
